A Disappearing Act  
Hey, I'm back. :)

Mmmmm... I should admit something. You know those kids who run around the house, wreck it, then deny it and point their fingers at each other? Well, I was never one of those kids.

Thus, I freely admit, I broke my host's internet. >_> My bad.

Well, I think I did anyway, but my host blames our mistakes on the old box. ^^

That old box was replaced today, so I'm back online. What's happened in the last five days? Let me see...

Wednesday, I moved. Took less than a day. Let me introduce you to my host sister and brother. ;D



Kaoru, on the right, was my student, now, she is my roommate. :D She and her husband work at a cram school, leaving in the middle of the afternoon and working late into the evening. But we find lots of time to relax and just chit chat.

Thursday and Friday were days for adjustment. Friday evening, I had dinner with some good friends of mine.

Saturday, Kaoru and I ran errands around town. Then, she took me to a local culture festival.

Saturday evening, my hosts and I watched "SP". Seems they were already anticipating the new drama as they usually watch the late night drama at that time. It was delayed a good half hour, having to make room for the volleyball championship.

Sunday, we woke up early and headed towards Shirakawa-go, a real-life town showing off old style thatched-roof houses. On the way there, we stopped at a Family Mart. Lookie what I saw: :D

Ahhh I heard about this...! I need to get to a Family Mart! XD I don't have one in the vicinity around me so I'll have to look up the nearest one. Did you buy any of the Gakkou campaign goods they were selling? From what I understand there's ramen and bread and other stuff XD

I knew I liked Family Mart best for a reason. Better than Lawson's, better than 7-11.

You don't have one?! D_: That's so sad! I haven't bought anything yet... My friend tells me they're campaigning for healthier kids' menus, at least the after-school snacks or other items kid's buy for themselves for lunch. I don't know if the money is going to some cause or something... I want to buy some of it! Oh! Be sure to pick up some of the flyers. ^^

I actually have the GeI ramen in my kitchen now. There's apparently a contest involved with it... I dunno, my understanding is pretty situational, and as I haven't opened the ramen yet, it's hard to tell.

Man, for living in/near Kyoto, you sure end up in my neck of the woods a lot. Shirakawa-go is like, an hour from here. I prefer the World Heritage Site up the road in Gokayama though. Their thatched houses are more entertaining. :)

Good to hear you've got a place to stay.

Is the ramen any good? Any different?

Was I really that close? I never quite got a good idea of where you're living. I haven't heard of Gokayama. Maybe you'll have to come down to my neck of the woods next for another trip to the Johnny's store. By the way, when you joined the V6 fan club, were you supposed to get or pick up some sort of club membership kit or special goods for joining? You know, free stuff? I have my membership back now, and I'm wondering what I should do with it.

all i got when i joined the v6 fanclub was my member's keychain with my number on it. (shrug)
I've never been to a johnny's store. I was gonna go after the concert, since it was close to the venue, but then I wouldn't be bothered (shrug)

Sorry for never really commenting when you went through all that shit with your company >.< But I read it all, later...
I managed to fail my studies because of one lecture and had to think of what to do with my future now @.@ Now all's in order again and things are looking up, but for a while there everything was chaos.

So consider me back too \>.</ *keeps huggling* At least you had a great time at the concert ^.^v

In last week's "Gakkou" episode, Nagano introduced his idea to make a line of food healthier products for kids to buy for lunch and snacks. The poster was advertising this; the foods will be sold in Family Mart. ^^

I WISH they were coming to town. I've played with the idea of inviting them. ;D
